This is a powerful, fast, aggressive predator fish which also likes to jump when hooked. For this reason, it has become one of the most sought after freshwater species by fly fishermen. The average size of a Dorado is around 3-10kg(6.6lb - 22lb) with the record being 31.4kg (69lb). Due to the Dorado tasting good it has become endangered in parts through over fishing by locals. Larger baitfish flies are recommend and like all the flies I offer, they are on the best strongest hooks.
