 Chasing Tigers vol 5

The Intrepid adventures of a fly-fishing geek

A quality printed Non-fiction (true story) book on quality paper - no expense spared- 434 pages and 50 great colour photos. Only available from the author.

"From a large drawer under his desk, Herman pulled out an old, beaten-to-death map that was held together by clear tape. Laying out the map, he pointed out where the park was located. My ears were twitching, my eyes were glued to his index finger, tracking across the valleys and mountains.

”All of Stu Tripney’s adventures start with a wild idea and the courage to explore places barely known. Fly fishing is always at the heart of the plan, but only ever a part of the story.

Chasing Tigers happens in Nepal, where Stu encounters all types of wildlife, such as man-eating tigers, elephants and rhinos. He also lays bare the most interesting aspects of human-life, from love and dedication to a dream, through to outright corruption and greed.

PRAISE FOR CHASING TIGERS.

Hi Stu

Just wanted to drop you a quick message to tell you how much I loved reading Chasing Tigers.

Your passion for travel, fishing and life really shone through the pages of this fantastic book.

It’s pretty rare to read a book that can make you laugh, cry, feel joy and anger all in the space of a few chapters. I really felt like I was there along for the ride.

Cant wait to get my hands on the next instalment of what I’m sure will be another inspiring read.

 Kind regards

 Adam Woods- Australia

Chasing Tigers

What would the “Love Child” of Sir David Attenborough and Sir Billy Connolly look like? Stu Tripney’s Chasing Tigers comes pretty close to that image.

Another humorously, entertaining, informative and well researched account of Stu’s wandering adventures. This time in Nepal.

This guys love of the natural world combined with his curious nature and determination to understand all sides of the story in every situation he encounters, throwing in a dose of humour wherever he can, delivers an unforgettable read.

Although there is a fishing rod somewhere amongst the adventures, this is far from your regular fishing tale.

Armed with only a stick and a pair of Binoculars, Stu encounters Tigers, rampaging elephants and fortissimo farting Rhinos while stalking through the National Park on foot.

A great piece of writing giving accurate insights into the local people and visitors to the region - The drop dead gorgeous, The weird and The absolute ugly.

As curious as a cat Stu’s signature style of travel writing lets you feel that where he is at and that life is a reality to be experienced letting everything unfold without resistance. Meticulous, humorous and best of all leaves you wanting more.

You thought fly fishing was about trout and salmon? Well think again. Chasing Tigers takes you to a country you never would have thought about and fish you never have even heard about. Exhilarating and refreshing stuff.

 Cheers,

Andrew - Germany
